Demand Planner (m/f/d)

Job description

As a Demand Planner at WMF, you will be responsible for the demand planning of a defined product area.  In close cooperation with Supply Planning, Marketing, Sales and the international supply chain organization, you will forecast demand for the next 18 months. Your role will have a decisive influence on our ability to deliver and therefore on the long-term success of our company. 

This position is to be filled full-time or part-time (minimum 30 h). 

What you can expect

·  Management, animation, creation and validation of demand planning (aggregated level - family & disaggregated level - SKU)
·  Analyzing KPIs and using statistics to support decision making and demand planning accuracy
·  Updating the planning system (APO-DP) according to consensus planning 
·  Ensuring consistency between the demand plan and agreed business targets while minimizing forecast errors
·  Improving the overall efficiency of the supply chain
·  Leading the monthly local forecast meeting with Marketing and Customer Planning and participating in the alignment meetings with the international supply chain organization
·  Ensuring the best possible customer service level for the assigned products 

What you need to be successful with us 

·  Successfully completed university degree, ideally with a focus on supply chain management/logistics/operations management 
·  Very good knowledge of Excel
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Process affinity and conceptual thinking and acting
·  Good written and spoken English skills

·  Initial knowledge of SAP R3 and SAP APO 
·  Good knowledge of German 
·  Good communication skills
·  Ability to work in a team
