Role Summary/Purpose

Wind Farm Field Digital Service Engineer is a key part of the GE Wind Energy team and plays an essential role in the growth of wind energy services. As field engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and providing troubleshooting, repair and regular maintenance for the wind farm’s turbines. This is a hands-on role for an energetic wind turbine technician with proven supervisory and planning skills.
Essential Responsibilities

• Preparation of work programs for the timely servicing of assets (GE wind turbines).
• Hands on experience to fulfill all assigned duties for operation and maintenance of wind turbines for customer owned wind farms in the region.
• Organize daily work plans for contractors.
• Raise purchase requests for parts, consumables etc. as required.
• Interpret the requirements of GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, work instructions, etc. and devise work plans including all required resources
• Guide and assist technicians in the proper maintenance and fault finding of assets
• Hands on experience on High/Medium/Low Voltage AC/DC system testing, Operation and Maintenance, troubleshooting & repair
• Provide customers with high quality, value added service solutions including Operations /SCADA, maintenance, troubleshooting and service of wind energy products.
• Regularly inspect in-person the progress and quality of service/repair work
• Maintain reports using GE’s various software management tools and databases. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organization’s JSA, LOTO, EHS and associated policies/procedures.
• Progress strong EHS monthly metrics, KPI and quarterly audit deliverables
• Report errors, violations, incidents or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.
• Submit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved.
• Answer questions from management, Engineering, Sourcing, Clients etc. as required.
• Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections.
• Organize quality management system and QMS audits
• Ability to understand electrical drawings and troubleshooting processes
• MCE main component exchanges preparation and execution
• Delivering weekly and monthly turbine performance contractual availability targets and monthly document submittals as per client contract obligations
• Other tasks required by Wind farm Site Manager
Qualifications/Requirements

• Diploma Engineering or Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics or Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Min of 2 years Wind industry field service or project experience time served on shore or off shore
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and understanding
• Customer Service and communication mindset.
• Ability / Willingness to travel domestic and International
• Team Player and boundaryless
• Knowledge in ISO requirements
• Ready to serve, as requested by Site Lead / Site Manager
• Environmental, Health and Safety mindset and compliance
• No fear to work at heights for O&M activities.
• Travel to remote Service sites within Thailand, other countries required for training or additional resources
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Microsoft word
• Ability to work in confined areas and at height
• GWO certification or working at heights preferred
