Role Summary/Purpose

Perform purchasing activities to provision outside vendor repair services of aircraft engine parts for Company needs, in the most efficient and economical manner. Purchasing activities include but not limited to Purchase Orders, pricing and contractual management.
Essential Responsibilities

Perform purchasing activities to provision outside vendor repair services of aircraft engine parts for Company needs, in the most efficient and economical manner. Purchasing activities include but not limited to Purchase Orders, pricing and contractual management.
Liaise with production control, on parts requiring outside vendor repair and responsible for ensuring parts return on time to meet Company need dates and providing alternative solutions if required
Action, monitor and expedite the outside vendor repair parts.
Action, monitor and expedite on required assistance for logistics and part receiving issues.
Assist Order To Remittance (OTR) to perform follow up actions to ensure the repair parts are turned around within the agreed Turn Around Time to meet the production schedule.
Responsible to provide reports and user feedback such as repair delays, discrepancy reports, modification special inspections, quality issues etc.
Vendor performance reporting
Qualifications/Requirements

Degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Aviation, Materials, Electrical & Electronics or its derivatives / equivalent.
At least 2 to 3 years working experience in Technical Sourcing / Procurement / Expeditor environment. Candidates must possess experience in managing Requisition, Purchase Orders and Expediting services / parts with Issue Resolution.
Experience in Aviation field is added advantage
Experience in using SAP or equivalent systems is added advantage
Possess strong communication and written skills in English
Strong PC software skills especially Microsoft Office. Proficiency with Excel function is a must
A team player and ability to work with multiple parties across different time zones with minimum supervision
Energetic, good analytical and planning skill
Exhibit high integrity & discipline
Desired Characteristics
