Role Summary/Purpose
The User Experience Intern position offers those with a passion for design & user experience an opportunity to grow their design abilities, business acumen, and leadership skills to build a career with unlimited potential.
Interns learn by doing--gaining real-world experience by working on important and challenging assignments alongside some of the brightest designers and technical minds in the world.
Essential Responsibilities
Intern assignments are tied to GE Digital's key Predix UX initiatives.
In this role you will:
· Contribute across one or more projects/programs/products as assigned in a cross-functional environment.
· Demonstrate a strong ability to further develop and learn user experience capabilities and methodologies.
· Assist with the effective documentation and communication of design - via wireframes, mockups, and requirements engineering
· Stay up to date on current and emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
· Undergraduates must have completed sophomore year at start of intern assignment.
· Pursuing a degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or in “STEAM” Major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art + Design, Math) Must be an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. student enrolled in an accredited college or university.
· Established strong academic performance (3.0/4.0 GPA or better).
Eligibility Requirements:
· Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

· Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA
· Must be 18 years of age or older
