Role Summary/Purpose

The Storeperson will carry out store and dispatch responsibilities to provide efficient and timely processing of job orders to ensure customer requirements are met. Work in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities

• Receipt of goods – unloading of trucks, ensuring quantities received are correct and reconcile with delivery papers.
• Dispatch of goods – ensure goods are packaged appropriately for dispatch, including loading of trucks
• Pick and issue parts for jobs
• Pick parts for sales orders and intercompany stock transfers
• Responsible for Inventory accuracy
• Item location management
• Active participation in stocktake and cycle counts
• Keep workshop and stores area organised, maintained, clean, tidy and safe
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Perform any additional or special tasks as requested by the Workshop Supervisor
• Participate in and support the GEPC Quality and EHS programs
• Highlight and demonstrate a full understanding of GEPC Quality and EHS procedures
Qualifications/Requirements

I. Qualifications
• Completion and passing grades of year 12; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current National LTPHRW (Forklift License - LF).
II. Experience
• Solid warehouse experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Transportation and Storage Requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
III. Technical Knowledge/Skill set
• Working knowledge of workshop functions;
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills;
• Compliance and HSE focused.
IV. Desirable Education / Training/ Experience
• Reach truck experience is desirable
• Dogman / Rigging ticket an advantage;
