Job Description Summary

As I member of Manufacturing Team, you will:
- Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line including Service Shops. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines.
- Drive and coordinate the execution of Fabrication Shop operations wing to wing with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.
- Responsible for overall job execution & performance of the fabrication processes, Resource management & allocation of work within the area.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • EHS Management: Participate to the risk assessment (RA)in his/her area, Implements preventive actions in line with EHS framework/LSPs/GE applicable standards.
  • Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations, contractors, and contingent workers.
  • Optimizing utilization of resources to achieve the production target
  • Shop controls – shift plans, time booking, maintaining attendance, daily logbook, reporting of production data in the system, manpower planning
  • Manage, Organise, monitor production operations as per plan, implement corrective action as necessary
  • Track activities w.r.t to process sheet & process control plan
  • On time delivery of the jobs
  • Interact with related Departments, Clarify Deviations, give technical guidance to subordinates to ensure quality production meeting Statutory regulations at least time and cost
  • Maintain housekeeping (5S), Guide, monitor and supervise compliance with all safety standard and environment policy and norms (in line with ISO- 14001 and OHSAS- 18001) to ensure safe and healthy working environment.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Ensures experience and lessons learned are properly fed back to FMEA analysis

Required Qualifications and Skill

  • BE/ Diploma Mechanical with min 3 years of similar experience
  • Ability to manage teams and drive them for desired outcomes
  • Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes
  • Knowledge of heat treatment processes
  • Experience in heavy fabrication and assembly
  • Understanding of safe practice and risk related welding process and EHS requirements
  • Proper understand a Welding document like, WPS, Welding book & Welding sketch/types of welding joints (Geometry and Symbols) and different positions
  • Knowledge of GMAW/SAW/GTAW Welding Process – Welding Position: PC, PF-Butt & PF, PD-Fillet.
  • Good knowledge of welding sequence for control a distortion during welding.
  • Knowledge of inspection requirements and welding quality/defects impacts, visual inspection criteria
  • Knowledge of defect/discontinuity of fabrication processes
