This role is based in Lichtenfels with travel of around 50%.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Own all service training activities for employees and customers within the Service Coordination scope, including coordination of product, system, and process trainings, and providing ongoing support to ensure the standard and quality of field service execution.
· Develop and maintain training materials and curricula (presentations, manuals, exercises, e-learning, assessments) in a machine- and technology-agnostic way, ensuring content is technically accurate, aligned with current engineering standards, and globally standardized.
· Build and provide informal leadership to a global trainer network (FSEs, TSEs, regional trainers) by setting expectations, coordinating delivery, and offering guidance and feedback, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment across teams and regions.
· Collaborate with product management, sales, engineering, service leadership, and customers to understand training needs and establish an attractive, clearly structured training catalogue aligned with customer needs and Colibrium Additive’s business objectives.
· Partner with service leadership to understand internal onboarding and upskilling needs and develop the global service team’s skills in line with the growth of our installed base, including structured learning paths and role-based curricula.
· Coordinate and, where appropriate, deliver trainings for internal and external customers, ensuring a high-quality experience before, during, and after training sessions (communication, preparation, execution, and follow-up).
· Coordinate logistics for training delivery by working with the Tooling Manager for tooling availability, with Fulfillment for parts/materials, and by aligning schedules with regional service coordinators and other stakeholders.
· Administer ServiceMax and the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate training, customer contact, and installed base data; managing customer and internal user accounts; and supporting continuous improvement of training-related processes, tools, and LMS workflows.
· Define, track, and act on training KPIs (e.g., utilization, NPS, completion, impact on service performance) and contribute to evaluating and developing the training footprint to ensure efficient and effective training delivery, in close collaboration with the Additive Academy and Services leadership.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training & Development, Engineering, or a similar field – or you bring equivalent practical experience.
· Several years’ experience working in an international environment, ideally in an industrial or additive manufacturing setting, with a clear track record in training.
· Solid experience in designing and delivering training: from building curricula and creating content to running engaging sessions for technical audiences.
· Strong technical curiosity and confidence working with new systems and processes; comfortable operating across different machines and technologies.
· Experience with lean methods and improving processes and workflows is a plus.
· You communicate confidently in English (spoken and written); German skills are a bonus.
· You are willing to be based in our Lichtenfels office (relocation to the area) and are open to traveling up to 50% to customer sites, training locations, and internal hubs.
GE Aerospace supports and encourages flexible working arrangements, where possible, and recognizes the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.
