Job Description Summary
The Senior Product Cost Leader is a key role in the H/M-series Product Line reporting to the Product Line Senior Program Manager. You will be responsible for the Engine Cost connected to Product Line Operations. In this role, you will work horizontally across all functions, and your main priority will be to develop and execute an integrated Cost Out roadmap to drive the Engine Cost to target (both New Make and MRO).

Essential Responsibilities
· Drives positive product margin trends that includes focus on a combination of cost and price levers
· Engage and coordinate cross functional team (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, ITC, Sourcing and Suppliers, etc.) to achieve product margins including but not limited to influencing price models/cost baseline, setting the right goals, generating ideas, and driving results
· Uses judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers
· Leverage GE Aerospace, Avio Aero and industry benchmarks to develop a pipeline of Cost Out projects supporting the achievement of the Engine Cost Target
· Define the integrated Engine Cost Out roadmap
· Drive execution of cost out projects
· Promote and apply FLIGHT DECK principles and structured problem-solving methods to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across processes and teams; identify cost saving opportunities in internal shops and with suppliers
· Assure adequate processes and tools are in place for Actual Engine Cost data collection and monitoring
· Assure reliable and up to date Should Cost is available as a means to direct and prioritize action
· Partners with PCB to get decisions
· Provide Cost Status reporting as required at Profitability Review / Monthly Operating Rhythm
· Provide Cost data inputs to financial planning and Business Case update processes
· Support the Cost Estimation process for New Make and MRO Engines
· Participate in design change decisions to ensure the cost impact is fully understood
· Develop a Life Cycle Cost (TCO) model for the Engine
Qualifications / Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited university or college (preferred graduation in Mechanical /Aerospace / Management Engineering)
· Significant experience in the Aviation Industry preferably in Product/Program Management, Engineering or Manufacturing functions. We are welcoming also candidates from automotive, engineering industry / machinery (complex products)
· Business / financial acumen and strong analytical skills
· Proven Leadership
· Teamwork and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
· Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
· Proactive, adaptable and able to work with an entrepreneurial approach in a complex and matrix environment
· Fluent written and spoken English; Czech advantage
· EU Work Permit
Desired Characteristics
· Experience in Product Cost management & Product Cost/Pricing /Leading or actively contributing to relevant Cost Out initiatives
· Familiarity/mastering of Lean and hands-on experience in Lean improvement projects
