Job Description

Responsibilities:

·  Install and commission Control Solutions hardware and software in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation and other process industries;
·  Troubleshoot existing Control Solutions hardware and software installations on-site;
·  prepare field services jobs and interventions with the project managers;
·  Provide technical assistance to customers on site as needed;
·  Provide training to customer employees as needed;
·  Supervise mechanical and electrical sub-contractors, and instrumentation de-installation / reinstallation;
·  Lead and execute loop check and commissioning phase performing the functional tests. SAT´s (Site Acceptance Tests);
·  Lead and execute unit start-up and performance tests ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshoot control system problem as they arise;
·  Assess and monitor site safety during job execution;
·  Understand T&C (Terms and Conditions) commitments;
·  Timely and accurately input hours, expenses, timesheets in internal systems.

Required Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree in engineering;
·  Previous experienceon in Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry field activities;
·  Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, "hands-on approach"
·  Strong knowledge of rotating equipment control for power generation (HDGT, aeroderivative and steam turbines, BOP), including commissioning and startup;
·  Strong knowledge of control systems and field devices (UCP, MCC, DCP, DCS, instruments/actuators) and industrial protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC, Profibus).
·  Ability to handle special tools like pressure pump, multi-meter, frequency generator, oscilloscope and field generator;
·  Avaiability to travel 70% of the time;

Desired Characteristics:

·  Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings;
·  Ability to troubleshoot control and instrumentation systems at all levels, from field devices to control system, and networking;
·  Effective written and oral communication skills Spanish and English Spoken/Written, Portuguese (Native);
·  Customer-focused skills, demonstrated by experience in field services, customer services or project management, are essential.
