Job Description Summary
The Senior Demand Leader position is responsible for owning the Demand Signal for the Avionics business. As part of the Business Operations team, this role will liaise across functions – finance, commercial operations, contracts, program management, sourcing, supply chain and engineering. This role will work cross-functionally to drive Demand recognition and alignment within the Sales and Operations Planning Process.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the Demand Signal Segment of Sales and Operation Planning: Ensure collaboration with Material Planning and Supply Chain organizations to align demand planning activities with overall business objectives, develop and lead the Demand Report by establishing a structured cadence for demand reviews (monthly, weekly, daily) to ensure the cross-functional team focuses on key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain a stable and accurate demand signal.
Compile Data for S&OP Reviews: Gather and analyze data to support periodic Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews highlighting discrepancies and misalignment between demand signals and forecasts, and drive prompt resolution of these issues.
Direct Improvement Activities: Utilize action plans and problem-solving methodologies to address and improve key performance indicators that require attention.
Salesforce Utilization: Leverage Salesforce to gain insights into the comprehensive demand signal across product lines, working closely with Program Management.
Manage RSO Workflow: Oversee the Risk Sales Order (RSO) workflow process and tools, providing support to Program Managers to ensure effective use.
Improve Demand Planning Processes: Continuously propose and implement solutions to enhance demand planning processes and improve forecast accuracy.
Schedule and Lead Demand Meetings: Organize and lead demand meetings to gather inputs for the demand plan, ensuring team accountability for accurate and timely contributions.
Monitor and Report Changes: Track and report changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies to keep the demand plan aligned with business goals.
Assist in Budget Development: Support the development of annual budgets and opportunities to streamline costs.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (technical degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of supply chain, program, or project management experience
Desired Characteristics:
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM) and / or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environment
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Background in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Proven history of business and problem-solving acumen
