Role Summary/Purpose

Provide Engineering technical support. Primary functions include execution of experiments, test planning, and yield analysis. Provide manufacturing engineering support for assigned production cells, collaborate with process certifying agents & manufacturing personnel, and orchestrate trials for effective new product introductions. Identify, lead and implement cost-out and product quality projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology/tools and innovative ideas.

Essential Responsibilities

This is a part time position, 20-30 hours per week. Content and intent is similar to a co-operative education role or internship. Candidate will work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to achieve site metrics/initiatives in support business goals. Additional work involves the support of Engineering and ongoing production initiatives as needed

· Two years progressive experience in Aerospace Manufacturing position, including but not limited to Project Management, Production, Inspection, Engineering, tool/fixture design, or other related technical experience

· Proven ability to initiate and complete projects

· Proven planning and leadership ability of multiple and concurrent projects

· History of hands-on involvement with manufacturing issues

· Demonstrated ability to create and maintain data in INFOR (Mapics), complex MS Excel or other spreadsheet applications, and MS Powerpoint

· Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills

· Demonstrated ability to listen to and motivate others

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
