Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking.
Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement daily production plans to ensure timely job completion.
· Allocate resources effectively, balancing workforce, materials, and equipment.
· Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
· Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operators to achieve production goals.
· Drive continuous improvement and support lean manufacturing initiatives within the area.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to improve workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
· Ensure clear and consistent communication across all levels of the team and management.
· Ensure accurate vouchering of work for finance purposes.
· Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees. Typically managing hourly employee populations.
· Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
· Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
· Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
· Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 3 years of manufacturing experience (OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 6 year’s manufacturing experience).
· Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
Eligibility Requirements
· Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
· This position is 100% onsite in Schenectady, NY.

· Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
· Proven experience in an operations leadership role within a manufacturing or field service environment.
· Strong ability to develop production plans and manage resources effectively.
· Deep understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
· Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.
· Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills .
· Proficient communication skills , both written and verbal, to engage with various stakeholders.
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Pay Transparency
The base pay range for this position is $90,400 - $120,400 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10 % performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
