Job Description Summary

As a Projects EHS Portfolio Leader, Americas, you will implement and maintain Gas Power EHS strategy for New Unit Installations and Projects in Heavy Duty Gas Turbine (HDGT) and Aeroderivative Business Lines in the Americas. The Projects EHS Portfolio Leader partners with the Project Managers, Technical Installation Managers (TIM’S) and/or Site Managers to plan, implement and maintain the site EHS Management System, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements. This Leader will coordinate with the NU Projects EHS Pole Leader and site EHS professionals, as well as the Project and Construction & Commissioning (C&C) Leadership Team and consortium and contractor partners to define, monitor and support resources to improve EHS performance at Project Sites. This Leader’s portfolio of projects will include Equipment Only (EO), Engineered Equipment Package (EEP), Turnkey with Partner (TKP) and Turnkey Self Implement (TKSI).

Job Description

Responsibilities:

·  Plan and support the execution of Site EHS Plans for multiple projects/power plant installations.
·  Provide day-to-day EHS coaching and leadership for Site EHS Managers when applicable.
·  Work with TIM’s and Project Managers to monitor the effectiveness of site-related rules defined in the Site EHS Plan and, in consultation with the Site Manager / lead TA, revise as necessary to keep up to date.
·  Consistently apply relevant EHS policies, procedures and minimum EHS standards per statutory, regulatory, contractual and GE requirements, ensuring effective implementation of EHS Management System.
·  Ensure an effective review of GEV and contractor method statements and associated risk assessment against GEV, customer and regulatory requirements.
·  Actively communicate on the GEV audit requirements and ensure the Site monitors and maintains site compliance.
·  Work with the NU Projects EHS Pole Leader and/or Portfolio Directors, Pole Construction & Commissioning, Individual Project Managers and consortium/contractor Partners to coordinate planning and implementation of all EHS activities from ITO to OTR.
·  Intervene when Project Site activities do not meet established EHS requirements of the risk assessment and/or method statement.
·  Establish and maintain Project Site EHS culture with TIM’s, Project Manager and other supporting TAs during mobilization and execution.
·  Devote significant time to on-site support of projects, especially during the early phases of execution (Premobilization, Installation, Commissioning and Commercial Operation Date (COD)) and as needed during later phases of project execution.
·  Align EHS strategic objectives with customer. Share EHS standards and lessons learned. Provide EHS support and technical EHS advice to customer.
·  Proactively identify potential customer or Partner deviations from EHS contractual terms, propose and implement mitigation plan, and escalate as needed.
·  Support NU Projects EHS Pole Leader in Daily Management of EHS Key Performance Indicators for Projects in portfolio.
·  Deliver timely information to NU Projects EHS Pole Leader and Business Management in relation to any trends that become evident through analysis of data from portfolio of projects.
·  Ensure effective EHS communication to all site personnel, including EHS Read Across events and actions.
·  Conduct Quarterly audits at each site using Comply Works tool. Record findings, document and communicate EHS performance

Required Qualifications

·  Associates degree or higher in Safety or Engineering
·  6 years of EHS experience in industrial, power or construction industry or the similar industry
·  3 years of Project Site or construction experience

Eligibility Requirements

·  Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
·  Ability to travel up to 50% primarily domestically
·  English fluency
·  Desired location would be in Southern Eastern states or Central Time Zone

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $129,000.00 and $214,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
