Job Description Summary

The job involves working with the Engineering teams in the design, analysis, testing, and validation of systems/ components of aerospace turbomachinery systems. You will have opportunity to learn hands-on and contribute to development of creative and impactful technologies for improved aero engine components/ sub-systems. This role will have a tenure of 6-9 months, enabling ownership and execution of a substantial and impactful assigned project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Aerospace Engineering Internship will help you experience the excitement of a career in engineering, where you can have real impact on GE Aerospace’s technologies, products and customers around the world.

In the internship, you will:

·  Work on 1-2 projects over 6-9 months in a discipline aligned to your expertise
·  Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas 
·  Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for GE Aerospace
·  Receive technical insights, mentorship, and coaching from world-class engineering professionals

Required Qualifications:

·  Pursuing PhD or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Equivalent
·  Strong fundamentals, domain knowledge and analytical skills
·  Execution mindset, self-driven with a sense of urgency
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a global team environment

Desired Characteristics:

·  In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and exposure to flow modelling, heat transfer evaluations
·  Good track record through top-notch publications and Experience on solving multi-disciplinary problems
·  Proficiency in simulation software in flow and heat transfer domain
