Role Summary/Purpose
We are looking for a day-shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department of a state of the art and recently upgraded CCGT Power Station in South Lincolnshire. With the new investment the station now has a generating capacity of 850MW with two Gas Turbines and one Steam Turbine with a thermal efficiency of 54%.

Essential Responsibilities
· Executing planned/unplanned maintenance activities in accordance with agreed procedures and operational requirements to ensure plant is operating safely, effectively and efficiently. Ensures safe working practices and procedures are adhered to within the work area
· Investigate failures relating to critical plant, diagnose and reports defects using the Computerised Maintenance Management system (CMMS)
· Maintain the CMMS for equipment changes, defect reports. Work requisitions and orders, equipment and stores usage etc.
· Coordinate outage work scopes and packages. scheduling as required with the operation department
· Serve as advisor on all Mechanical equipment matters
· Maintain Mechanical drawings and specification files
· Management of contractors and third-party vendors on site
Qualifications/Requirements
· Experience in working with steam systems, rotating equipment, motors, gearboxes, valves, boilers and ancillary plant equipment
· Computer literate and experience is using a CMMS for management of work orders
Practical knowledge of process plant equipment gained in a heavy engineering environment.
· Any other duties as directed by the Engineering Manager / Maintenance Supervisor as are deemed to be within his/her capabilities
· The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the Health and Safety of him/her-self, any contractors working under his/her direction and in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
