The Measurement Systems engineer is responsible of leading activities relevant to Measurement Data Acquisition. In this role you will support the test engineer and the test leader from the definition phase of the measurement chain, through the whole process, to data validation and reporting.
This role will entail troubleshooting and problem solving of measurement issues and carrying out countermeasures. You will design, procure and validate a clearance-meter and blade tip timing system for military application. You will collect requirements and to work with external Partners, to interact with CTHs and to do design reviews; to work with external suppliers; to manage plans and costs. These systems will permit to measures gaps between rotating and static components and to regulate properly those gaps ensuring operation targets, avoiding wear and reaching system efficiency

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

· 
Design, procurement and validation of a clearance-meter and blade tip timing system for military application

· 
Definition of measurement  system architecture

· 
Guarantee the availability of all the items necessary to measure all the required parameters

· 
Data acquisition Configuration and Setup

· 
Data acquisition chain calibration and validation

· 
Issuing of calibration reports

· 
Execute or eventually coordinate the team that will operate calibration activities ensuring, with respect to times agreed upon, the availability and reliability of the whole data acquisition system.

· 
Perform the activities following standards and procedures defined by internal quality rules.

· 
Assuring the compliance with the calibration procedures, or in case of new measurement system, defining the calibration procedures.

· 
Work on continuous improvement and standardization (lean) including the realization of new procedures and instructions if needed

Qualifications/Requirements

· 
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Electronics Engineering

· 
Knowledge of and familiarity with metrological systems

· 
Good Knowledge in Clearance and Blad TipTiming technology

· 
Good Knowledge with the light probe and capacitive sensors

· 
Proven experience in Testing and instrumentation

· 
Knowledge of Measurement Correlation and Calibration requirements and methods

· 
Troubleshooting/problem solving capabilities

· 
Ability to operate measuring instruments

· 
Good software knowledge and PC proficiency

· 
Data post processing and analysis (High & Low frequency)

· 
Knowledge of the main graphic symbols used in the diagrams (electrical and mechanical)

· 
Availability for travels and 3 shifts working

· 
Fluent in English and Italian

· 
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
