A Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment from Import suppliers to the Port of India in the most economical cost & work with Foreign trade office & Finance for on-time License application & closures

Roles and Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
·
Manage and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
·
Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
·
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to resolve logistics issues.
·
Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
·
Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet business objectives.
·
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
·
Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
·
To work with DGFT & consultants on Advance License applications & closures
Specific Tasks: *
· Route planning and optimization
· Freight forwarding and customs clearance
· Transportation management (air, land, sea)
· Freight audit and payment processing
· Logistics IT system management (e.g., OTM)
· Data analysis and reporting
· Budgeting and cost control
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
· 2-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in logistics software and technology (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP)
· Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws (e.g., FMCSA, IATA)
· Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CLTD, CSCP)
