Role Summary/Purpose
Principle responsibilities for the Logistics and Planning Leader include in-and outbound standard and oversized transport arrangement to U.S. based Steam / Gen Service Centers.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Logistics and Planning Leader, you will:
· Provide complete shipping or/and import / export service supporting activities to contribute to the effective fulfillment of terms and conditions of all domestic and international transactions
· Assume total ownership of U.S. domestic export process and logistics coordination for the appointed U.S. repair centers, factories or warehouses
· Be responsible for the U.S. temporary import process of the repair parts in conjunction with PS Customs and Global Trade Compliance
· Be based in either the Atlanta HQ, Greenville Factory or Richmond Service Center and report to the Global Logistics Leader
· Comply with all U.S. export controls and regulatory requirements and fulfill documentary requirements of the importing country
· Comply with oversized freight domestic and international transportation requirements
· Provide accurate shipping invoices and related export / import documents to all customers, shipping agents and other related parties
· Coordinate and record material movements and provide proper custody and control until delivery terms have been fulfilled
· Comply with established financial guidelines and provide for the timely execution of all transactions
· Resolve post shipment inquiries and claims
· Control and improve data accuracy of logistics tracking system
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. domestic and/or international transport service or related
Desired Characteristics
· Strong knowledge of OOG / HL (oversized, heavy load) shipping procedures
· Knowledge of various software applications (Oracle OTM, SAP, MS Excel)
· Green Belt certified or equivalent quality certification
· Strong knowledge of U.S. export and import regulations
· Understanding of foreign customs and import requirements
· In depth knowledge of ICC incoterms 2000 / 2010
· English Language proficiency
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to perform under pressure in an environment of high volume transactions
· Ability to plan, assign priorities and solve problems
