We’re building a Logistics, Warehousing and Customs team to deliver a world class service to our sourcing, manufacturing and project delivery teams, and are looking for a senior logistics, warehousing and customs professional to drive the change and deliver the service operationally to the business.
Job Description
What you’ll be doing
· Developing and implementing strategies to deliver a world class logistics, customs and warehouse service to ECPM Projects which deliver globally and have a global supply chain.
· Leading, training and mentoring the logistics team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, tools and processes to succeed, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
· Managing logistics, customs and warehouse supplier contracts, including performance management and cost out activities.
· Managing priorities, liaising with programs to ensure customer requirements are understood and met on time, to budget, identifying risk and supporting actions to mitigate.
· Providing visibility to the business through performance metrics and reporting to senior leadership.
What you’ll bring
· A strong, operational background in logistics, customs & warehouse management, including management of external contracts (eg 3PL) and leading a team
· In depth knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and logistics and warehouse operations including temporary import trade rules.
· Familiarity with logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems.
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) an advantage.
· A results-driven mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
· Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
· Effective, collaborative communicator with stakeholder management skills
Work environment
· Based on site in the Power Conversion & Storage facility in Rugby, this role may require travel to engage with customers, suppliers, support project teams, and collaborate with our UK & Global colleagues.
· SC clearance required
