The role of Static Commissioning engineering will predominantly be at client sites, where they are responsible for Pre-commissioning and overseeing the installation of HVDC Control systems with its interface to plant and equipment, ensuring system is ready for energising and commissioning.
You will be part of a team that liaises with other teams at site, customers and design engineers to ensure smooth testing and delivery of an HVDC control system as part of a project delivery team.

Roles & Responsibilities
· Planning of site installation & testing activities in project planning software e.g. Primavera & Smartsheet.
· Daily site activity planning & delegation of activities to team members.
· Supervision of control system installation at site.
· Adhere to EHS and customer safety rules.
· Lead the field cable laying & termination as per approved documents.
· Lead the configuration, testing and troubleshooting of complex IEC61850 IED system.
· Configuration of HMI (Human machine interface), TFR (Transient fault recorder) & other sub systems.
· Lead the cubicle standalone, inter cubicle and field interface test as per approved documents.
· Testing of substation hardware and software interlocks.
· CT and PT / CVT / voltage divider primary and secondary analogue injection test.
· Handover the HVDC control system team to the Dynamic commissioning team.
· As built documentation markup.
· Manage the record of spares & defective equipment.
· Accurate reporting and record keeping on Progress and Issues.
· Coordination with customer and cross function teams to highlight & fix the site issues.
· Follow the departmental standard installation/testing practices and guidelines.
· After sales operation support.
· Support work in RTDS lab for projects.
· Knowledge of networking and functional architecture and troubleshooting of system.
Requirements / Qualification
· Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics / Electrical engineering or related field.
· Experience in working Substation.
· Knowledge of 61850 protocol.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience in working in a team / project environment.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment without much supervision.
· Must possess strong attention to detail.
· Require systematic troubleshooting skills and judgment and problem solving skills to resolve diverse projects.
· Must be willing to learn and be trained and strive to do better.
· Advanced oral and written communicate.
· Must be able to work under pressure of customer and Project Manager(s) and complete tasks in line with Project Schedules.
· Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when required.
· Required to follow and understand work rules and procedures.
· Must follow safety guidelines established for work areas.
· Must be able to exhibit logic and troubleshooting skills.
