Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Define parts, modules, and assemblies using 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and electronic data formats for analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
·  Apply best practices and integrate expertise with other areas, while understanding market competition and differentiation.
·  Use judgment and analytical thinking to develop solutions for complex manufacturing processes involving technical variety or interdependent production cycles.
·  Interpret customer specifications and office standards for design applications.
·  Understand mechanical electrical schematics related to electrical enclosure design.
·  Create arrangements for automated industrial systems using AutoCAD 2015 and CREO 2.0, including electrical enclosure layouts, electrical boxes, and panel designs.
·  Design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques, incorporating ASME Y14.5 standards.
·  Select standard components and hardware for designs.
·  Prepare bills of material to provide a complete manufacturing package alongside schematics and layouts.
·  Maintain manufacturing documentation and information.
·  Work as an individual contributor or early-stage team leader with interpersonal skills to hire and develop talent.
·  Offer informal guidance to new team members.

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience).
·  Minimum of 3 years of extensive experience in mechanical- electrical hardware design for low to medium voltage systems.
·  Advanced proficiency in CREO 2.0 or similar software
·  Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Characteristics

·  Advanced proficiency in CREO 2.0 or comparable design software.
·  In-depth knowledge of NEC, IEC, and UL industry standards and regulations.
·  Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and best practices.
·  Proven problem-solving, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
·  Extensive experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and automation systems.
·  Expertise in power electronics, including design and implementation.
·  Solid background in industrial control systems and their applications.
·  Comprehensive experience in panel design and layout.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
