The Interface Manager for the 2GW offshore HVDC Project is responsible for identifying, managing, and coordinating technical and commercial interfaces between different parts of the project and external stakeholders. This role ensures smooth integration and operation of the HVDC system, minimizing risks and optimizing performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

·  Interface Identification and Management: Identify and manage technical and commercial interfaces between the HVDC system (including its components), grid connections, other installations, and third-party stakeholders. Primarily:
·  AC 66 KV cable OWF to Offshore Convertor Platform (Supporting) for both wind farms
·  DC 525 KV cable to Offshore Convertor Platform (Supporting)
·  DC 525 KV cable to Onshore Convertor Station(Leading)
·  AC 380 kV cable land station to Onshore Convertor Substation (Leading)
·  Fibre Optic Architecture & Cable Monitoring
·  Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, SPOC’s, OFS’s suppliers, and contractors, to ensure alignment and effective communication interface data.
·  Interface Management Plan: Continue the implementation, continuous progress monitoring and adherence to the Interface Management Plan.
·  Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks related to interfaces, including technical issues, commercial disputes, and schedule delays. In conjunction with the risk management team.
·  Design Assurance and Review: Ensure the overall system design and performance are compatible with project and client requirements (AVL, SRS etc), conducting design reviews and compliance checks.
·  Project Planning and Scheduling: Contribute to the project schedule and progress monitoring, ensuring timely delivery of interface-related tasks and deliverables.
·  Communication and Reporting: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, reporting on interface management progress and issues. Close out of Interface queries and linking to relevant standards identified in Relatics. Taking and distribution of MoM’s, attendance at all interface meetings remote and face to face.
·  Lessons Learned: Identify, document, and implement lessons learned from previous projects to improve future interface management. 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

·  Strong Technical Background:  Engineering or related field. 
·  Project Management Experience:  Proven experience in managing complex projects, including interface management. 
·  Communication and Interpersonal Skills:  Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. 
·  Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:  Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. 
·  Risk Management Skills:  Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks. 
·  Fluency in English :  Essential for communication and collaboration in international projects.
