Role Summary/Purpose
The Government, Affairs and Policy (GAP) Fellow program is a 1 year-long comprehensive full time program which is part of GE Global Government Affairs & Policy team. The program will expose you to international and local trade systems and policies. A great opportunity to oversee GE's engagement with the local government on advocacy issues, and to expand the company's presence in global markets.
Essential Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following but (not limited to) :-
· Research
on political policies and external happenings/events to get a pulse on what's going on
· Stakeholder
mapping & development
· Briefing
requirements for external meetings with stakeholders
· External
engagements with stakeholders
· Opportunity
to influence and develop government agenda and policies across GE businesses in
the region
Desired profile
Qualifications/Requirements
· Minimum 3.0 GPA in Bachelor degree/Masters in political science/arts/economics/law
with strong interest in government/public policies
· Analytical and research driven
· Strong
interpersonal skills
· Good
in written and verbal English
· Great
political judgement & understanding
· Curiosity
for international affairs
· Must be able to converse local language (Thai/Bahasa Indonesia/Vietnamese)
· Must be able to work in Bangkok/Hanoi/Jakarta without any restrictions (no work permit/visa will be processed for this role)
· Must be able to start in this program by June 2017 and stay through 1 year
· Prior
experience or basic preliminary knowledge in energy/infrastructure/healthcare
industries is an added advantage
