Job Description Summary
GE Vernova’s On-Site Services Specialty Services (OSS) is looking for motivated, experienced, and skilled Machinist with expertise in repairing power generation equipment to make an impact worldwide.
You should have knowledge of GE, Alstom or similar or other OEM Power Turbine equipment and experience with portable on-site machining, with an emphasis on large lathes, boring bars, drills, and mills.
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring optimal turbine performance and reliability by executing high-precision work while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a dynamic, service-driven environment.
Job Description
What you'll do;
· As our Journeyman / Machinist part of the team under our Leader's skillful supervision; you'll execute assignments according to GE EHS and Quality requirements to fulfilling the needs of the customer as assigned.
· Typical repair activities to include Turbine rotor machining, Turbine casing machining repairs and valve seat retrofits to component upgrades
· Other journeyman and manual machining duties as assigned via the One Team of Innovators driving successes globally.
· Be proficient in all aspects of the On-Site machining (OSM) service offering to be able to independently complete assignments to the satisfaction of the customer.
· Specialist duties will include but not be limited to: projects as assigned by OSS management, aiming to development of innovative service offerings, delivery of training and knowledge to broader OSS team, to drive our customer-centric culture to the sites as assigned.
· Ensure all field documentation is completed: Safety Observations, Quality Documents, daily turnover logs and customer final reports.
Qualifications/Requirements;
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college/High school/GED diploma plus at least 4 years of mechanical repair machinist/journeyman related experience
· Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Gas Turbine Repair/Upgrade or/ Field Services
Eligibility Requirements;
· Ability and willingness to travel significantly to the Work sites with NO restrictions, both domestic and international locations were work is assigned.
· Ability and willingness to work overtime and 2nd shift
Desired Characteristics;
· High degree of mechanical knowledge with machining and repair of Gas Turbine power equipment
· Experience with portable machining repairs & ability to interpret drawings and specifications
· Excellent written and verbal customer facing communication skills
· You will bring your natural leadership skills and a desire to learn and grow in this ever-evolving industry.

In compliance with the US Pay transparency laws in the USA
The base pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $95,000.00USD annual
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for up to 5% bonus based on business performance, this position is not exempt from overtime and international travel incentives. This position will be posted to July 7th. 2025
