Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, you will be a member of the Immigration COE and assist the Global Mobility Services (GMS) team continue to be successful by contributing your talents to monitor and assist immigration processes; achieve operational objectives; maintain immigration controls; assist customers and ensure controllership and compliance with legal and business requirements. You will have the chance to prove your passion for change, creativity and teamwork.
Essential Responsibilities

• Help ensure compliance with local immigration laws and internal policies by staying abreast of local regulatory requirements and by analyzing cases and advising business HRM’s and other key stakeholders on the compliant method to mobilize;
• Assist the Regional Leader with special projects to improve quality and speed of services provided to businesses;
• Manage cross-border moves into region of responsibility and ensure moves are made compliantly and in an efficient fashion. Must drive the wing to wing immigration process to ensure there are no delays in document procurement and application filing;
• Collect, collate and analyze data to support the immigration compliance program in a timely and efficient manner;
• Liaise with appropriate stakeholders including Regional Leader, Corporate Tax, and various businesses to ensure that all aspects of short term business travel are addressed and all compliance regulations are established (immigration, tax, labor);
• Recognize compliance concerns related to non-compliance and/or any other short term business traveler compliance concern (i.e tax) ensuring immediate escalation to Regional Leader;
• Maintain compliance requirements for operational procedural manuals;
• Provide training to business designees on the Immigration Management Tool;
Qualifications/Requirements

o 4 year College/University degree or high school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years relevant work experience in lieu of degree;
o At least 1 year of professional work experience;

o 2 years of compliance, legal, immigration experience;
o Familiarity with issues of compliance for international regulations;
o Ability to handle competing priorities and manage tight deadlines;
o Ability to work in a global matrix environment;
o Strong written and verbal communication skills;
o Strong attention to details;
o Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team;
o Ability to stand up to business pressures and enforce compliance;
o Ability to recognize when to escalate issues;
o Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
