Role Summary/Purpose

This front end developer role will work in some of the exciting projects in Global Law and Policy, specifically the Intellectual Property space with modern web technologies to create an excellent user experience to all users across the GE businesses. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skillset by working on and delivering for high impact solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with program manager and functional clients in designing and developing user interfaces.
• Design, lead and build front end solutions that leverage industry best practices.
• Explore and recommend new technologies that can be leveraged.
• Responsible for reviewing and implementing the technical designs spanning various front end technologies – Bootstrap, ExtJS, HTML5, AngularJS, jQuery, CSS3, etc.
• Integrate with various server side components seamlessly.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related technical degree
•Minimum of 2 years of IT experience in design and development

Desired Characteristics

•Experience in ExtJS and AngularJS is nice to have but not mandatory.
•Experience and knowledge in UX / Web & mobile design and front end development Integration experience
•Solid foundation in JavaScript and JavaScript libraries (such as jQuery, AngularJS)
•Experience with web standards, Object Oriented JavaScript, asynchrounous AJAX request and JSON-based RESTful web services
•Transform complex initiatives into digital products and services for internal solutions
•Engage in creative sessions, challenge existing solutions, and inspire ideas for new projects
•Translate high-level business strategies, requirements, market trends, usability guides and technical development standards into software solutions
•Provide vision and technical leadership across the core development team
•Stay abreast of the latest technology trends, coding standards, libraries and framework
•Collaborate with project managers, functional subject matter experts, other developers, application leaders and designers to define and execute application improvements
