Role Summary/Purpose

In the role of F110 / F118 Repair Project Engineer, you will be involved with engineering associated with the manufacturing process.
Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, the F110 / F118 Repair Project Engineer will:

·  Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and create process routings

·  Design and build / procure necessary tooling and finishing within budgets

·  Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment

·  Support EHS projects in cell

·  Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements

·  Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment

·  Identify and reduce sources of labor efficiency variations

·  Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation

·  Support the quality function through integration of ISO / QC documentation and Manufacturing methods Instructions

·  Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in the Cell

·  Attend weekly cross-functional quality sessions and track / drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for Cell issues

·  Lead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practices with other locations

·  Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity

·  Lead the setup of new customers

·  Coordinate with sales and program managers on new product interdiction

·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

·  Minimum of 3 years as F110 or F118 Engine mechanic

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

·  This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

·  Prior manufacturing process improvement accomplishments preferred

·  Ability to manage priorities and achieve results

·  Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is preferred

·  Strong Project Management skills

·  Strong manufacturing process knowledge

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Six Sigma training is preferred
