Job Description
Product Safety Engineer internship - Wind
Become part of the front line of driving SQDC through the Wind organization
· Participate in product safety risk assessments on critical systems/components using statistical analysis to develop standard assumptions risk models
· Analyze and evaluate field data to determine the probability values for given risk reduction factors
· This is a highly visible rotation, leading collaborative cross functional team projects with exposure to all aspect of our products and services
· Quickly gain a high-level understanding of wind turbine systems and components
· Develop systems thinking skills
· Create connections with multiple functions across the Wind organization
· Access to our most technical resources, Chief Engineers and CTHs
The internship will include but is not limited to project such as:
1) Creating a technical paper (eDRB article) to establish standard work and disposition - Hub Crack Process Standardization
2) Support Systems Risk Assessment (PHA, HAZOP, ASR)
3) Analyze product safety data and trends to influence engineering design improvements (data sources: PCR, IBS, EBS, Actions)
4) Develop a reporting tool (such as PowerBI) to standardize data analysis
5.) Other projects as they are identified
Qualifications/Requirements

Fluent in English

University student
·
Strong data analytics
·
Good knowledge of MS Office (EXCEL)
·
Must be able to listen, think critically and ask questions to lead effective conversations with multiple stakeholders
·
