Role Summary/Purpose

The global Rotor Engineering function is responsible for the design of generator rotors for both new and service applications. The role includes the design, 3D models, PIDs, instrumentation and factory support including engineering order management and tooling, factory support including engineering order management.
Essential Responsibilities

• Creation and maintenance of standard technical documentation
• Adaptation of standard documentation to project specific requirements
• Definition, supervision and maintenance of design and order execution tools for Accessories
• Response to customer and site questions, customer presentations
• Analysis of tests and measurements from test fields and power plants (on site)
• Evaluation of erection, commissioning and operation data
• Support Manufacturing and Site when needed.
• Work in close collaboration with stator team to ensure the homogeneity of the generator.
• Ability to work with a multi-location and multi-cultural team.
• Personal development in technical skills, in personal skills, and in culture and also ability to keep budget, quality and schedule.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
• 4 plus years of successful delivery in an engineering environment
• Technical knowledge of generators, including operation, and the supply chain interface.
• Experience in Software AutoCAD, CATIA v5 (add. advantage in piping module), MSOffice, RPDM & Enovia PLM
• Additional advantage - performance of design calculations (mechanical)
