Job Description

Key Responsibilities

·  Ability to make product cost out and finding alternate suppliers, quickly qualify and pass design review
·  Thorough knowledge in Inverter and battery storage equipment design
·  Perform study to design the Inverter and Battery storage system using system documentation and calculation tools.
·  Prepare the technical specification and ensure compliance with standards and product requirements documentation.
·  Demonstrate strong technical capability in solving technical issues.
·  Execute and own Component, hardware, and software using specifications and sizing calculations by following GE design practices
·  Lead and drive culture of quality and technological refinement to existing designs.
·  Understanding the Inverter product specifications and generate cost out ideas, quick      implementation by thorough validations and meet project requirements. 
·  Lead and take ownership of complete product engineering.
·  Interact with BOP system, sub-systems, component teams to define and document system requirements and interfaces.
·  Capable of troubleshooting the issues in the product and be a technical reference.
·  Develop technical experience among the team to be faster in customer response.
·  Provide technical engineering support:
·  Clarify and support to testing team and site team in all engineering technical issues.
·  Ensure processing and resolution of assigned Problem Reports (PR).
·  Participate in testing to validate the product as required. 
·  Analyze test data and produce test reports.
·  Participate in Design Reviews to evaluate the design and ensure concepts are based on valid fundamentals of the system design.
·  Lead project reviews, make presentation and status reports to Senior Management.
·  Must be willing to work on new product development and system component design.
·  Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
·  Work with cross-functional & global teams to meet project objectives
·  Ensure technical coordination for subcontracted engineering services.

Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree (preferred) in Electrical or EEE Engineering with 0 – 2 years’ experience with strong academic background.
·  Hands on experience with the design and development of control algorithms in a relevant field.
·  Good working knowledge on usage of MATLAB Simulink or similar tools.
·  Good Analytical, Interpersonal and Communication (Verbal and Written) skills.
·  Process focus and continuous improvement orientation.

Desired Characteristics

·  Working level knowledge of Solar Inverters and Battery Energy Storage
·  Strong understanding of Power Electronics design in Inverter/Converter
·  Ability to break down problems and estimate the influencing parameters.
·  Being innovative, need to find new ways to improve the designs and sometimes challenge current ways of working
·  Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
·  Experience in working in cross-functional environment.
·  Process focused and desiring continuous improvement.
