Role Summary/Purpose
GE Africa’s Early Career Graduate Internship Program (ECGIP) is a 12 month leadership program designed to give recent university/college graduates challenging work assignments, training and development, and exposure to leadership. The program combines hands on experience with formal classroom training to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to become leaders in GE.
Essential Responsibilities
· As a key pipeline for future GE talent, the candidate will be required to provide support in the following disciplines e.g. business development, market research & intelligence, internal meetings, et al), and some of the areas that the candidate will be required to lead may include, but not limited to organizing customer meetings, supporting conferences, events etc.
· The job assignments and training are designed to enable the candidate to apply his/her engineering, skills, knowledge and experience to support the team in driving some of GE’s strategic business initiatives
· A background or experience in oilfield services will be preferred
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, computer science, information systems, computer engineering or information assurance or equivalent knowledge or experience
· GPA greater than or equal 3.0/4.0 overall
· Must have advanced to fluent level of English
· Ability to work in fast paced changing environment
· Demonstrated team player
· Confident self starter who has demonstrated drive
· Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and work to meet deadlines
· Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
