The Development shop technologist lead all activities of a development build shop as well as assy and disassy experimental rig/modules and related processes. You will support the test center leader through the entire test campaign, starting to procure rig hardware and prepare the rig/test article for the test keeping areas safe working in synergy with EHS team.
The job start from the drawing received by designers to procure the components to assembly the rig/test article. The activities continue with the inspections and checks the components received than lead the fully assembly of the rig and test article together the instrumentation applied on the single components. At the end prepare the documentation, as well as the build report, to send the rig in the test cell for the test and support its installation working in team with test engineer. After the test you will lead the disassembly and post test inspections of the hardware than prepare the disassy report.
All activities are developed in synergy with engineering departments, EHS team, sourcing and supply chain.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

· 
Establish the plan for rig/module assembly in line with the program

· 
Coordinate the build shop activities in line with the plan and with the budget

· 
Prepare documentation for the assembly , inspections check list, build up procedure, build report

· 
Procure and guarantee the availability of the components necessary for assembly the rig/module

· 
Perform and lead the rig/module assembly, disassembly and Inspection

· 
Manage the instrumentation applied on the rig components during assembly and disassembly

· 
Support the rig installation in the test cell in and out Pomigliano plant.

· 
Support troubleshooting with engineering and test cell team to solve eventually issue during the test

· 
Perform and lead the post test inspections of the hardware and root cause investigations on the rig/module.  

· 
Lead the build shop continuous improvement by optimizing existing process and identifying new opportunities for build shop improvement

Qualifications/Requirements

· 
Technical High School diploma from an ITS

· 
Proven working experience in a development assembly area

· 
Previous experience in roles and activities where significant EHS requirements and practices were involved

· 
Knowledge of test rig preparation review process, and ability to support the development of rig design

· 
Familiarity on the instrumentation as well as its application

· 
Knowledge of CAD, 3D model and different drawings

· 
Good familiarity with power point, excel, project, SAP for procurement, shipment and vouchering, main shipment and logistic activities

· 
Availability to work on two/three shifts when required

· 
Availability to work in different test cells and different sites during rig installation

· 
English and Italian fluency, both written and oral

· 
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Ability to work and manage external suppliers during the procurement of the rig parts

Ability to work in team and in synergy with other department of the engineering and supply chain

Background in assembly and mechanical shop areas

· 
Technical specialization course post-diploma

· 
Good interpersonal and communication skills, strong proactivity

· 
Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment

Ability to lead cross functional and multicultural teams

· 
Capability of troubleshooting and problem solving
