Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Experience in Aerospace Tubes and Ducts with ability to lead multiple cells having 95 people.
Ensure safety Stand downs, emergency communications, driving safety initiatives through the shop. Addressing required safety concerns by working with CFT.
Understanding of AS 9100 and ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 14001, ISO 45001
Ensuring adherence to quality requirements while daily execution through the shop across all cells with a say do ratio of >95%.
Material management - Ensure traceability at all levels Systematic documentation control in case of rework such as WO splitting etc.
Co-ordinating with CFT for problem solving regarding quality & manufacturing challenges through daily management & CFT meetings
Coach to HPT, support HPT for change management & Kaizen implementation.
Ageing of work order control through FIFO at all process. Support in allocation of resource & alternative planning to mitigate abnormality and inventory control.
Consolidate, analyze leaves and production plan to finalize monthly leave plan for the shop across cells
Shall have hands on experience in stainless steel and Inconel tube fabrication and welding.
Ability to analyze defects, identify root causes and drive efficient solution through CFT members.
Drive 5S across shop and ensure minimum 3S across cells
Shall have experience in manufacturing execution system (MES), Proficiency in MES preferred.
Performance review & people management and drive HPT culture.
Ensure vouchering compliance and accuracy >99%, DLP per business target and execution say do >95% .
Ensure no one in the cell are ideal by working with CFT members.
Drive productivity improvements through flight deck and lean principles
Qualifications/Requirements:
Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Degree
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good People Management Skills. Working with CFT Members
