Due to the continued growth of our Grid business, we are looking for our next Control & Protection Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) within the Construction & Commissioning function to support the energy transition across Central Europe.
About the Role
The Constrol & Protection Commissioning Engineer will support the testing and commissioning of Control & Protection (C&P) systems for projects under execution within AC, FACTS & HVDC Projects.
You are in charge for the execution of commissioning activities, preparation of documentation, and coordination with internal teams and customer representatives to help ensure compliance with contractual, technical, quality, and safety requirements related to Testing & Commissioning.
You report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader.

Due to the continued growth of our Grid business, we are looking for our next C&P Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) within the Construction & Commissioning function to support the energy transition across Central Europe.
About the Role
The C&P Commissioning Engineer will support the testing and commissioning of Control & Protection (C&P) systems for projects under execution, in line with GEV Quality, Construction & Commissioning, and EHS processes and guidelines.
In this role, you will assist with the execution of commissioning activities, preparation of documentation, and coordination with internal teams and customer representatives to help ensure compliance with contractual, technical, quality, and safety requirements.
The position reports to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader. The role requires 100% site presence during the execution phase. Project locations are mainly in Poland (Baltic/Gdynia region) and may also include other European countries, together with optional assignments in Asia and offshore for platform construction activities.
Mission Description
· Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …)
· Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including ITPs, checklists, test procedures, and reports.
· Perform and support functional testing of Control & Protection, SCADA, HMI, Automation and Telecom systems including secondary equipment and interfaces within substations and switchyards.
· Follow up, be the point of contact and assist in testing and commissioning done by 3rd parties under C&P relevant scope.
· Publish test reports and follow up completion of relevant quality documentation. Complying with the contract requirements and the project Quality Plan
· Monitor, record, and report progress of commissioning activities on site.
· Ensure all C&P testing and commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
· Maintain effective communication with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during site execution.

· You will contribute directly to the Energy Transition by helping deliver AC, FACTS, and HVDC projects successfully to our customers.
· You will support the commissioning of critical Control & Protection systems that enable safe and reliable operation of substations and power transmission infrastructure.
· You will develop your technical expertise through hands-on experience with state-of-the-art grid technologies and site-based project execution.
What You Bring
· Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
· Knowledge and experience in commissioning of substation components such as protection relays, HV substation control systems, SCADA, HMI, and telecommunication structure.
· Understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interlocking logic and communication schemes
