Job Description Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate CFD developer with expertise in gas turbine combustion modeling with coding experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Role will involve developing, implementing and validating advanced numerical models to simulate complex combustion systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global users to resolve technical challenges in combustion and aerodynamics simulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

·  Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand combustor design requirements and identify gaps in existing modeling methods.
·  Develop, implement and validate advanced computational models for combustion processes.
·  Design, develop, and maintain software tools for CFD analysis (pre-processing, solver, post-processing).
·  Drive effective integration of software into design workflows, in collaboration with design community. Support the development of technical documentation and training materials.
·  Conduct research on emerging trends in computational combustion and advanced simulation techniques. Present findings and technical reports to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

·  Ph.D. or Master’s with 3+ years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace or related disciplines.
·  In-depth understanding of physical process involved in at least one of the following areas: Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, combustion, spray modeling.
·  Proficiency in languages such as Python, C++ & related tools.
·  Strong problem-solving skills, self-learning abilities and shown track record of technical excellence
·  Ability to work in a cross-functional environment with strong communication and presentation skills
·  Be flexible and adapt to work on critical priorities as per business need.

Desired Characteristics

·  Well established track record of model development in the field of combustion & spray.
·  Exposure to higher order computational combustion codes (pre-processing, solver & post-processing).
·  Exposure to GPU programming & code optimization techniques
·  Experience of using machine learning methods
·  Ability to collaborate and co-ordinate tasks involving global team members
·  Hands on experience in using commercial CFD codes.
