Role Summary/Purpose

The APM Technical Consultant - APM Services role is a multi-faceted position that requires flexibility, diverse technical skills and abilities. As a critical part of the BHGE APM Implementation CoE, this role is a technical expert on APM customer engagements and is responsible for successful APM software implementation including installation, configuration, customization, integration, and troubleshooting of Meridium APM.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of APM Technical Consultant - APM Services, you will:

·  Serve as techno-functional expert for the implementation of Meridium APM software solutions.

·  Own and manage the technical deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle.

·  Deploy Modules and Features to support Meridium APM project pillars. (Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Integrity, Asset Health and Failure Elimination, Safety).

·  Provide analysis & solution design activities, such as requirements gathering and gap analysis of user requirements.

·  Provide expert knowledge and experience to collaborate with customers to identify technical requirements and estimate technical effort required to implement complex software solutions.

·  Support project team in solution design, architecture review, functional and technical requirements discovery, definition, and documentation.

·  Apply configuration changes per approved functional / technical design (Configure Family and Fields, Business Rules, Family Policies, Behaviors, Risk Matrix, Dashboards, Queries, Graphs, Reports, APM Policies, Strategy Rules, Schedules, Apply Security Changes and Add Security Users).

·  Perform installation and/or programming tasks related to agreed interface & conversion specifications and/or application assignments, including agreed upon system tailoring and customization.

·  Design, implement and document in Meridium APM workflows to meet customer functional specifications.

·  Effectively leverage Meridium product capability, driving standardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutions.

·  Support the project team (including Program/Project Managers and Services Consultants) throughout customer engagement to identify scope changes by adhering to the agreed change management process.

·  Influence decisions on design and functionality to keep projects on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.

·  Interact with Product Development Team, Commercial Team, Customers, Solution Providers (Partner / Integrators), and other cross-functional teams as required for the solution and implement processes to ensure best use of Meridium APM.

·  Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with peers and team members as an inclusive team member, supporting pre-sale strategy (as needed) and project execution.

·  Sserve as a technical expert and mentor on complex, integrated customer implementations, either as an individual or as part of cross-organization project teams.

·  Effectively apply Meridium APM software execution methodology and Agile project standards.

·  Maintain & continuously update technical skills and knowledge.

·  Work independently as well as part of the team.

·  Maintain strong customer relationships.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in process/mechanical engineering or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in software services and/or client-facing consulting performing software implementation

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Must be willing to travel up to 30% as required.
Desired Characteristics

·  Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows, .NET, SQL or Oracle databases, Intersystems Cache TM Object Script, C++, Java, Web Services, SOA technologies

·  Experience in software analysis, design, quality assurance, architecture, and Agile development methodology.

·  Proven track record of excellent customer service in delivering technical solutions with a mindset to exceed their expectations.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

·  Ability to participate in customer workshops to generate value-based use cases.

·  Analyze industrial trends and customer business objectives to deliver relevant trainings and workshops.

·  Develop a consulting approach to conceptualize, define, drive, and execute engagement and culture change strategies.

·  Ability to participate in strategy and planning sessions to help solve client issues.

·  Work with stakeholder, at all levels, to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas.

·  Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced, multi-tasking development environment.

·  General knowledge of industrial standards and best practices.

·  Prior customer support or system implementation experience desired.

·  Meridium APM technical certification is highly desirable.

·  Background in consulting preferred.

·  Previous technical experience implementing Meridium APM (on-premise or cloud).

·  Applies technical fundamentals in specific projects. Applies architecture development process & methods at various stages of the project lifecycle. Applies architecture adoption best practices on multiple programs.

·  Demonstrates ability to diagnose and solve intermediate to advanced issues. Can isolate highly complex scenarios down to actionable items and drive solutions.

·  Anticipates potential risks and obstacles and resolves proactively in order to ensure smooth project delivery. Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction across all projects. Addresses customer concerns quickly and effectively; at times, anticipates customer concerns before they become issues.

·  Plans and facilitates collaborative discussions with client and others within GE to identity and prioritize client's overall business needs.

·  Understands when and when not to depart from the standard provision of deliverables. Implements scalable systems according to governance and standards guidelines/boundaries, collaborating with others as necessary.

·  Ensures balanced perspective on customer/function needs vs business goals. Provides transparency into problem solving approach and options. Demonstrates ability to determine fair and reasonable outcomes with shared tradeoffs.

·  Continuously measures the completion rate of personal deliverables and compares them to the scheduled commitments.

·  Demonstrates ability to define requirements and collaborate on solutions, leveraging personal technical knowledge and network of experts. Communication style encourages effective interaction with customer and cross-functional teams. Leverages knowledge of product capability to mitigate risk and drive desired outcome.
