Job Description Summary

Program manager is responsible for the support for fulfilling repair needs in terms of safety, cost, quality, and efficiency.
Program Manager will be responsible for leading the technical development of the Aero shops network, working with the shops, Business Governance, ITO CoE, Channels, Regions and Suppliers, on industrialization and execution of insourcing projects, additional capabilities, productivity projects and new technologies.
Program manager will contribute on repair strategic initiatives, implementation and investment plan definition and he will provide technical support to the shops and to the Regions.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute Insourcing projects, new capabilities implementation and utilization initiatives;
  • Contribute on projects deck preparation for the following year and for the blue-print period;
  • Develop and execute productivity projects in the network;
  • Develop and execute new qualification projects, for assembly/ disassembly/ repair insourcing activities;
  • Develop and execute industrialization of new technologies for repair;
  • Collaborate with S&OP, Repair Engineering and Shops to fulfill on repair development;
  • Work for supply chain optimization and scout productivity opportunities;
  • Study multi-business repair synergies to minimize investment and optimize productivity;
  • Support, with the shops and the regions, the investment (PP&E) plan definition, for the following year and for the blue-print period;
  • Support repair processes qualification on external facilities and define partnership possibilities;
  • Manage external vendor technical qualification program;
  • Perform vendor performances analysis;
  • Perform technical gap analysis;
  • Support sourcing SQE activities;
  • Scout new repair jobs opportunities;
  • Actively participate to Business Governance Team review rhythms, leading technical initiatives and proactively coordinating resolution of technical issues as needed on an emergent basis
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Fluency in English and Italian, in writing and speaking
  • Proven years of experience in component manufacturing or repair and overhaul environment with one or more of the following turbo-machinery: Aeroderivative gas turbine, Heavy Duty gas turbines
  • Extensive experience within BH/GE repair business
  • Ability and experience to lead teams in complex projects
  • Capability and experience to work with local and remote resources, merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time
  • Capability to prioritize business requirements and to efficiently manage assigned budgets
  • Strong Program/Project management skills
