Key responsibilities:
Blasting:
Perform abrasive blasting using Nickle oxide on metal components according to work instructions and specifications. Set up blasting equipment, adjust pressure and media flow to achieve required surface profile and cleanliness. Verify the blasting surface finish according to the requirement. Collect and segregate the used blasting media for disposal according to schedule waste requirement.
Tack Weld:
Performing spot weld resistance welding to temporarily holding the metal sheet and honeycomb for brazing process. Set up and operate the spot welding including managing the consumable required such as electrode and copper sheet. Produce spot weld that meet specified requirement and able to hold for brazing process. Perform basic inspection on the spot weld quality.
Brazing:
Mixing the braze material as per specified work instruction (weighing and mixing). Applying brazes paste/powder uniformly across the metal plate. Managing the braze paste and braze fixture FIFO and correct material requirement. Applying stop off paste and pen on the component. Perform visual inspection on the seal prior to brazing to ensure complete coverage.
Safety:
Strict follow all the safety procedures and JSA Maintain workplace orderly and responsible in disposing excess material Follow company policies and site rules Understand and comply with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used braze application Segregate and dispose of spent media, contaminated rags, and chemical waste in accordance with environmental procedures and regulations Immediately report unsafe conditions, spills, near misses, and incidents.
Quality & Documentation:
Perform work in accordance with specified quality standards and tolerances. Inspect work pieces and ensure component are clean prior process. Report defects, nonconformities, or material issues to the supervisor. Complete basic production records, checklists, and log sheets as required.
Equipment & Tool Care
Check tools before use; ensure they are in good condition and suitable for the job. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of PPE and equipment after use.
Requirements:
· Minimum SPM or equivalent; vocational/technical training is an advantage.
· Prior experience in a workshop or component repair environment is preferred.
· Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in cleaning, blending, and welding.
· Ability to follow instructions, read work orders, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
· Physically fit and able to handle manual labor.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to different repair processes.
