Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining internal reporting, analyzing, and presenting, actionable insights on the Forecast, and identifying, and implementing, process improvements.  They will also assist with the annual planning process, supporting systems development, and ad hoc requests. They will need an analytical mind, self-starting personality, and natural curiosity to productively manage a wide range of opportunities.

Responsibilities

·  Compile and review the Financial Forecast, communicate with divisional finance teams to provide in-depth analysis around actual results and changes to the forward-looking projections.
·  Provide weekly updates to management, communicating performance versus expectations and providing insight on business-critical initiatives.
·  Assist with financial analyses to determine profitability and impact on the company, as needed. Contribute to the decision-making process and help drive further action on items that will help the Company deliver on their financial goals.
·  Participate in the development and communication of the Financial Plans and Expense Budgets. Work directly with Corporate and Divisional Leadership to develop, and communicate, targets and track variances vs prior year/submissions.
·  Review internal systems and processes and look for opportunities to deliver improvement, assist with the build out and implementation of new reports.
·  Work well independently and/or in a team setting to construct meaningful work with broad guidance. Managing up, or communicating across the organization, to ensure the desired results are achieved.
·  Provides support on special projects and requests as needed.
Qualifications

 

·  Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with a major in finance/accounting or related field from an accredited college or university;
·  3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
·  Experience with and/or knowledge of Vena, VBA, PeopleSoft, SQL Server, Monarch, and/or PowerBI is a plus.
·  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
·  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
·  Can confidently and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
·  Ability to work with retail math fundamentals as well as mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
·  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
·  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $75,000-$85,000, this range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
