As the leading global retailer of athletically inspired footwear and apparel, we are looking for an individual who is primarily responsible for the accurate management, execution and communication of pricing markdowns / promotions for the Asia Pacific Division (APAC). The role requires the production and distribution of regular inventory and sales reports through high level data manipulation, the maintenance of system / database integrity and be responsible for the analysis of markdown effectiveness and for the sales performance of aged inventory.
Responsibilities
Business/Technical Function
· Inventory Management
Using your knowledge of markets, drive effective promotions during key public holidays and sales clearances. Support stores with broken Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) pricing lists as well as in-season and aged markdowns.
· Business Analysis
Deliver, analysis and provide recommendations across stores and e-comm to increase productivity, whilst enhancing sales according to the analysis of store performance data, suggesting enhancements to improve overall performance.
· Business Reporting
Provide actual results vs targets on a weekly/monthly basis and weekly standard reports by due date for aged and daily markdowns, price override/discrepancy, events, loyalty and conversion.
· Pricing Database
Maintain and update pricing database leveraging pricing tools (including 3rd Party) to remain competitive, whilst actively seeking opportunities to maximise sales and strengthen margin.
· Business partnership and advisory services
Demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member and provide valuable operational advice and functional support to all internal (local and international) and external ‘customers.’
· Organisational compliance
Maintain the organization’s core values (Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, Service, Teamwork, Innovation & Community) at work and when representing Foot Locker, APAC externally.
Adhere to Foot Locker policies and guidelines and to comply with audit standards set down for APAC stores.
· Industry monitoring / continuous improvement
Monitor emerging issues, trends, opportunities, and best practice innovations and to recommend and implement improved controls, procedures, and systems for the APAC division.
Qualifications
About you
· Business Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or Economics
· Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Retail industry (preferably sports/footwear/apparel or FMCG) including sales, operations and merchandising
· Sound understanding of the merchandising & buying functions in a retail organisation
· Relevant proficiency in computer software – Office 365, advanced Excel and PowerBI
· Ability to work as part of the greater team
· Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and show initiative
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· Adapts easily to changing situations and demonstrates flexibility
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
