Summary of the role: Manages the daily operational needs and workflow of the Merchandise Service Specialists in support of item setup and purchase order management. As part of a global team, will support business partners across all operating regions.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manages the Merchandise Services Specialists to ensure all global styles are created based on submitted Item Creation Plans. Works with internal teams to make sure all work is completed on time to support all online and in store initiatives.
· Manage the calendars for each buying cycle to provide clarity of deadlines to all business partners.
· Participate in data governance to ensure aligned style setup across all global regions.
· Drive the creation of Purchase Orders through the PO RPA process. Troubleshoot and review errors to ensure accuracy of PO’s created. Manual creation will be necessary at times in conjunction with the PO RPA process in peak volume periods.
· Assist merchant community with purchase order discrepancies from vendors relating to shortages, overages, and pricing. Take appropriate steps to bring any open po suspense issues to a resolution in a timely manner.
· Assist merchant and logistics community with the movement of purchase order attributes including dates priority codes and warehouse location.
· KPI’s will be utilized to monitor creation workload and be balanced between all team members to ensure work is created timely to avoid missing vendor purchase order deadlines.
· A proficient understanding of navigating Excel with the ability to understand basic formulas and deploy them when necessary.
· Ability to problem solve as needed and proactively reach out for guidance as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Directly supervises four to six employees in the Merchandising Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

· Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;
· and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Computer Skills:
· To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
