Overview

The Manager Supply Chain supports ESC- and HQ-Management to manage product and information flows from and to vendors, and through the ESC. This person is the key point of contact for HQ concerning the inbound flow and is working closely with HQ to ensure vendor standards are met. Furthermore, the Manager is responsible for upholding trade compliance standards and manages the roadmap for improvement initiatives, by working closely with the Global Trade teams.

 

The Manager Supply Chain leads the team overseeing:

·  The inbound flow of merchandise, in close coordination with the HQ-teams
·  Trade compliance standards (customs), working with HQ and global teams
·  The outbound flow (shipping, incl import/export) of merchandise and other shipments, in close coordination with the ESC-operation teams
·  Maintaining and developing vendor standards that affect sourcing, distribution, and inventory

At Foot Locker our supply chain is at the core of who we are and how we create the best possible experience for our end-consumers both in store and online. From our service centers in Heijen, the Netherlands (ESC) and Corby, UK, operated by our 3rd party logistics partner Ceva (3PL), and in conjunction with our transportation partners, we supply our stores in Europe with merchandise and supplies and ship online orders directly to our end-consumers.

Responsibilities

·  Liaison between ESC and HQ teams – responsible for alignment on objectives and clear communication.
·  Responsible for the maintenance, development, and enforcement of the vendor standards manual, including performance management for all merchandise vendors.
·  Actively develops plans to improve supply chain visibility on inbound and outbound flows for all parties involved.
·  Actively develops and executes plans to ensure trade compliance, including process / procedural documentation, and certification.
·  Responsible for the Supply Chain Portal (SCP), which includes onboarding new vendors, managing system upgrades and developments.
·  Responsible for the coordination of the inbound merchandise flow, in conjunction with the planning & allocation team.
·  Responsible for the coordination of the outbound flow, in conjunction with the ESC-operations team, carriers and customs agents.
·  Responsible for consulting in projects that relate to import / export, new shipping methods, and shipping routes.

Private Label (PL)

·  Primary contact for PL vendors, sourcing departments and agents regarding logistics
·  Measures, monitors and improves vendor compliance reporting
·  Monitors purchase order visibility throughout the entire supply chain process and liaise with EHQ planning and buying for follow up and visibility of purchase orders
·  Monitors purchase order writing process
·  Instructs sourcing, agents and factories on FLE requirements.
Qualifications

·  HBO (bachelor degree) in Logistics or equivalent relevant experience
·  Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain, preferable in a retail environment.
·  3-5 years Management experience (3-5 FTE)
·  Fluent in English and Dutch. Preferably additional European languages such as German, French or Italian.
·  Multiple-year planning experience in a distribution and/or warehouse environment required
·  Experience with AEO / Customs certification, personal certification preferred.
·  International experience in import / export (preferably road + ocean)
·  Strong knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain technologies
·  Strong knowledge / experience working with Microsoft Office, PowerBi in particular.
·  Financial and Business acumen: must possess base level of financial acumen with knowledge of financial measurements and how to impact them.
·  Ability to evaluate KPI’s and translate data into actionable information to drive change.
·  Problem solving capabilities: able to use logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
·  Relationship Management: able to build constructive and effective relationships with a board diverse group of business partners and vendors.
·  Strong eye for detail and experience with databases and reporting structures.
·  Ability to adapt to changes in priorities, workload, and tasks
·  Clear and effective communication skills with diverse audiences, from management to operations, to various external vendors.
·  Able to work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way / no silo mentality
