Overview
This role is based in NYC and will be hybrid in our Manhattan office.
Foot Locker Inc. has a rare opportunit y on our Social Media team. We are looking to hire a Social Media Manager , who will oversee Foot Locker/ Kids Foot Locker Inc's., social interactions and engagement through implementing content strategies on various social media platforms. The Social Media Manager duties include analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions, and planning digital campaigns to build community online.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development and execution of social media strategies across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and emerging platforms
• Own organic content generation, platform strategy and post execution
• Oversee and manage content calendars and publishing in alignment with business and culture priorities
• Facilitate conversations via community management
• Manage social creative briefs and asset requests for product stories and launches
• Assist brand manager in concept development for vendor campaigns and creator collaborations
• Partner with brand, merchant, content, dotcom and vendor teams to organize, develop and execute social content strategy
• Attend Foot Locker/Kids Foot Locker and partner events and ensure the best social coverage
• Manage and grow the Foot Locker/Kids Foot Locker social media influencer program in the adult/kid's space in partnership with the brand, PR and influencer team
• Identify creators and influential people in the space for partnerships and opportunities
• Analyze and report social media data and translate those analytics into actionable insights
• Create weekly and monthly reports on social media results and competitor analysis
• Assist in copywriting for all paid social campaigns
• Manage social budget as it relates to content creation and partner development
• Remain up to date on new technology, platform enhancements, macro trends and competitor activity to apply to strategic plans
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 3 years experience years in a relevant industry environment doing social media work at a corporation, agency or social company
• Excellent communication skills (virtual meetings, e-mail and presentations)
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
• Extensive knowledge of all facets of the social space and ability to learn the competitive environment of assigned division
• Should be passionate about fashion, pop culture, sneaker culture and well-versed in the women’s/kid's space
• Working knowledge of basketball & hoops culture a plus/preferred
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing requirements and technologies, constantly push new boundaries on social in innovative ways that breakthrough
• Experience with web analytics and comfort level in communication with IT and tech areas
• Strong copywriting and computer skills.
• Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Adobe Design Suite(Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) Wordpress. Sprinklr (a plus)
Benefits
The annual base salary range is $74000 - $85000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
