Overview
As Manager Income Tax Accounting & Reporting you will be responsible for executing Corporate Income Tax (CIT) accounting and ensuring Corporate Income Tax compliance for all European and Asian legal entities in over 20 countries within the Foot Locker Europe Group. The Income Tax Accounting & Reporting Specialist (also reporting to the Director Income Tax) supports the Manager.
Responsibilities
· Manage the entire CIT (and trade tax) compliance process:
· Manage timely and accurate local country CIT and trade tax compliance
· Manage 3rd party preparation of CIT returns, including first line review of draft returns
· Act as one of the Company’s primary contacts with its external tax compliance service providers
· Support the Tax Director in CIT and trade tax audit defense
· Timely tax payment, forecasting and tracking
· Manage the CIT and trade tax accounting process:
· Maintain the tax accounts in the general ledger system in a timely, accurate and high-quality manner
· Manage monthly account reconciliations proces
· Support the annual US GAAP provision process, including quarterly income tax closes:
· Prepare annual tax provision and return-to-provision reconciliations for the region
· Support the US Tax Department in internal and external CIT reporting and disclosures
· Control and own the in-house CIT reporting system (OneSource)
· Prepare tax calculations for the local GAAP financial statements
· Support accurate and timely execution of transfer pricing and CbCr-obligations.
· Manage local country withholding tax obligations (e.g. obtain certificates, process payments, liaise with stakeholders, etc.)
· Provide input and support to all global tax initiatives
Qualifications
· University degree in Tax (direct taxes)
· Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an in-house corporate tax department or Big 4 tax consultancy firm
· High level of experience with (pan European) CIT compliance
· Advanced Excel skills
· Strong accounting and tax accounting skills
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret various types of financial information
· A team player with a service-oriented attitude
· Ability to independently diagnose and resolve problems
· Effective time management
· Experience with US owned companies is a plus
· Knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or OneSource is a plus
· Fluent in English, another EU language is a plus
