The main role of the Real Estate Lease Administrator is to review and administer commercial lease agreements within our European portfolio for Foot Locker, Inc. To ensure that both Foot Locker, as Tenant, and the landlords perform all of their respective obligations under the leases. This includes, but is not limited to, payment of rent, tracking of critical dates tied to specific lease provisions and taking action to facilitate all rights under the leases as necessary. The candidate will work closely with both internal and external parties on addressing and resolving various issues as they specifically relate to lease inquiries.
Who will you work with:
You will be a member of the Global Lease Administration team working out of our new head office in Utrecht and with regular interaction with our North American team located in our head office in New York City. This role also interacts daily with colleagues across other departments within the organization such as, Leasing, Construction, Facilities, Finance, Legal, and Accounting.
Who are you: You have passion for real estate with prior experience in lease administration and/or experience with negotiating, understanding and reviewing lease documents. You work well independently and effectively as a team player. Be well organized and able to prioritize your workload. Exhibit strong communicational skills when dealing with colleagues and our external business partners. Follow processes and procedures but dare to ask questions, apply critical thinking and your experience in the business. You enjoy working within a global organization with many diverse cultures and backgrounds. And most importantly, you are excited about the opportunity to play an important role in keeping the administration our real estate investments and international retail portfolio across Europe up to date.
Responsibilities
· Track and process lease documents (i.e. abstracting and setup of new lease documents; amendments; termination agreements; etc.)
· Maintain and ensure 100% data integrity within Real Estate Lease Management system. (Lucernex/Accruent)
· Review and interpret lease language to determine rental obligations and critical dates such as renewal options; permanent break options; termination rights; etc.
· Maintain other corporate systems timely and effectively, communicating information clearly.
· Coordinate lease information and address inquiries with Real Estate; Legal; and Finance Departments.
· Actively participate in departmental projects as required.
· Follow up on administrative tasks and financial issues or inquiries.
Qualifications
· Loves complex puzzles and connecting the dots.
· Fluency a European language. French is a big plus.
· Highly proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel.
· Works well both independently and as a part of a team.
· Ability to prioritize work, multi task and meet specific deadlines.
· Excellent verbal and communicational skills.
· Demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Highly motivated and eager to learn and grow.
