Overview
The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of all equipment within the Service Center. Duties may include accurately moving, stacking, and loading product, consolidating, and staging pallets for put away. The Equipment Operators position require associates to be taken up to 30 feet in the air on equipment. Automation Operators duties include ensuring maximum throughput, first level troubleshooting of equipment problems including use of computer logs and communicating labor needs to maximize the running hours of the machinery. All operators must be able to certify on any machine within the warehouse as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities
· *Safely operate all equipment within the distribution center. Equipment operator equipment includes: swing reach truck, reach truck, order picker, and any other machines as needed. Automation operator equipment includes inbound receiving line, outbound single box line and autobagger.
· *Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift and at full capacity which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
· *Equipment operators operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in a distribution facility and maneuvers equipment in and around tight corners, through staging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner.
· *Performs routine inspection on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor or maintenance team; cleans equipment.
· *Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Ability to read, write, operate RF and Print and Apply printing device, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required.
· Brings problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager.
· Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Physical Demands:

· Required to stand (stationary position) and walk during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
· Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
· While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
· Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly and 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
· Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
· Must be able to meet the certification and operating requirements for machines including all OSHA and harness regulations.
· Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Minimum of 6 months of previous equipment operations experience highly preferred.
· Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English* to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies.

Base rate paid bi-weekly: $19.06/hr. + $1.25 shift premium per hours worked & $2.00 per hour extra for holiday incentive until 12/28/24!
· Earn $0.26 wage increases following the completion of 90 days, 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months of service, totaling up to $1.00/hr on top of the base rate.
Attendance Bonus: Earn an Attendance Bonus per week. That equates to an additional $1 per hour. (Eligibility and policy rules will apply.)
