Overview
Foot Locker, Inc are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our Payroll Operations team within our Finance organization.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and implementing payroll systems and processes. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders across various departments. The Business Analyst will support the optimization of payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities
· Requirements Gathering - Collaborate with HR, finance, IT and other teams to gather and document payroll requirements.
· Process Analysis - Analyze current payroll processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop process maps and flowcharts to visualize workflows and identify bottlenecks.
· Data Management - Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance for payroll-related information. Analyze payroll data and generate reports for management review.
· Compliance and Risk Management - Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements. Identify potential risks in payroll processes and develop mitigation strategies.
· Training and Support - Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new payroll systems and processes. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for payroll-related issues.
· Stakeholder Communication - Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks and issues. Foster strong relationships with HR, finance, IT and other departments.
Qualifications
Education
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)) are a plus.
Experience
1-2 years’ experience in business or data analysis, preferably in payroll or HRIS projects.
Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Oracle Peoplesoft) is highly desirable.
Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel VBA, Power Query) and project management software (e.g., JIRA).
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
