Junior Investment Associate (Graduate)

Job description

The successful candidate will be a recent mathematics/finance/accounting graduate looking to build a career within financial services. An analytical mind and an ability to complete tasks to deadlines are pre-requisites.

Investment analysis entails searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack, and so candidates must be driven and enthusiastic about finance.

Job Details:

You will support a team of analysts in completing administrative tasks, while at the same time developing your reach and analytical skills. You’ll spend half of your time assisting the research process through administrative duties and the other half dealing with third parties, including financial advisers and asset managers.

Tasks include:

Procuring and organising financial data
Undertaking administrative duties, such as onboarding processes for new clients (billing, invoicing and contract handling)
Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of investment and retirement products
Managing relationships with clients (advisers and providers) and other third-parties (journalists)
Working with the team to enhance the firm’s content and social media activities
Contributing to relevant team projects and ongoing development of the firm

Desired profile

Degree in a quantitative subject (Essential)

Advanced Excel skills (Essential)

MATLAB, R or other programming languages are a plus

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work

Financial/ Accounting Certificate/ Part Designation a plus (ACA, ACCA, Diploma in Financial Planning, IMC, etc.)
