Job description

Job Summary:

• Assist QA Lead to manage and mentor for test teams across multiple projects. You will use your deep understanding of development and test best practices combined with first class leadership skills to promote approaches which ensure quality across our teams, products and services.

• Leads and manages resources on major development initiatives or large, complex testing projects, ensuring test projects are delivered to schedule, budget and scope and are aligned to functional / non-functional requirements.

• Measures and assesses the assigned project’s success against test plans and leads the development of processes and approaches to ensure quality standards of products and services, ensuring testing procedures follow any required industry specific standards.

• Develops long-term, strategic partnerships with senior business stakeholders and vendors, influencing, persuading and negotiating with them to achieve business and customer objectives.

• Accountable for driving innovation and continuous improvement in testing, keeping abreast of industry best practice.

• Drives the continuous improvement of the testing effort / function, as well providing insights on quality issues on the wider delivery.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Assist QA Lead on the development and delivery of multiple complex test plans to ensure product quality, acting as a specialist on complex technical and business matters.

• Leads the design, development and support of test cases for functional and non-functional domains, assigning testing skills to initiatives to ensure all issues are resolved and changing customer requirements are met.

• Identifies problems in testing and develops and implements improvements to processes, reviewing and interpreting recommendations from others, responding to trends analysis by directing solutions.

• Uses testing insights to recommend improvements to the wider delivery.

• Monitors SLA and delivery compliance and provides support into ongoing contract management and review.

• Assist QA Lead on the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components or modifications, ensuring alignment to functional / non-functional requirements.

• Identifies product quality risks based on high level solution architecture.

• Builds long-term relationships with internal and external business and client leaders and provides direction to the team during the delivery of all product testing lifecycle.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Clear understanding of customers needs when deciding on Quality Assurance strategy and framework.

• Understand the firm goals and objectives in order to anticipate opportunities and set up a plan to comply with them.

• Evaluate new ideas, technologies and products to expand the organization capabilities and improve processes.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Advanced understanding of the IT life cycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, financial).

• Advanced knowledge of Quality Management techniques and methodologies.

• Advanced understanding of testing life cycle and agile frameworks.

• Strong experience in establishing and evolving formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.

• Advanced knowledge on overseeing all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

• Strong experience in developing roadmaps for building needed QA expertise in the team guarantee excellent on test deliverables.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 9 - 11 years of experience in Quality Assurance area with a minimum of 3 years in a leading role.

• Proven experience on leading high-performance QA teams in agile environments including QA automation framework delivery.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills with an ability to inspire others.

• Familiarity managing multiple on site and external test teams.

• Proven experience hiring, training and mentoring other senior team members to build a strong team around them.

• Proven experience in customer facing roles.

• Considerable experience working virtually in a globally dispersed team.
