EY’s GDS Tax Technology team’s mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of EY’s core Tax practice, you’ll learn tax technical knowledge, utilize latest cloud focused technology skills to develop and maintain innovative solutions for our client-serving Tax professionals.

The opportunity:

As a Solutions Architect, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability.

Your key responsibilities:

·  Designs the solution architecture to address business requirements, including the design of multiple solution components and / or design of the functional architecture for one or more functions of the enterprise, solving complex problems in realms where solutions may not currently exist
·  Holistically evaluate the architecture and applies deep technical expertise to understand the business impact of a technical component, recommending and implementing new solutions / ways of working / technologies to meet business requirements
·  Contributes to sound project plans with the business by engaging with multidisciplinary teams, and by identifying, managing and mitigating risk and enforcing governance and compliance activities for the solution
·  Be an evangelist and strong communicator of the architectural blueprints of our product to mobilize the rest of the organization to build solutions that fit our customers’ needs
·  Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology
·  Work with the development team to translate the software architecture into design
·  Actively participate in the development process, as needed
·  Work closely with product management, software development, quality assurance, sales, and the executive leadership team

Skills and attributes for success:  

·  Must have experience with Microsoft development and server platforms
·  Must have experience integrating systems across multiple tiers
·  Ability to converse in German is a must
·  Comfortable communicating architecture to all levels of management and customers
·  Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and processes
·  Track record that includes the design and release of high-quality, high-performance, enterprise software products/applications
·  Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment
·  Strong analytical, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills
·  Strong leadership skills and experience successfully managing teams
·  Proficiency in Estimation, Leadership, Negotiation and Problem solving
·  Good communication skill and awareness of new and emerging technologies.
·  Strong technical skills  in  designing, developing, and implementing applications through logical life cycles for their portfolio of projects
·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience

Ideally, you’ll also have:

·  TOGAF
·  Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
·  Management experience
